Scottsdale Foam Roofing
Spray foam roofs, repairs, recoats and roof coatings for flat and low-slope homes and commercial buildings.
Foam roofing in Scottsdale is the go-to system for the flat and low-slope roofs that sit behind parapet walls on so many Valley homes and commercial buildings. Spray polyurethane foam goes on as a liquid, expands and cures into one seamless layer, and a reflective coating goes over it to block the sun. Across Arizona, foam roofing is one of the most common systems on flat roofs, and Scottsdale has plenty of them.
As a local foam roofing company, we install new foam roofs, repair damaged ones and recoat roofs whose coating has worn thin. We also coat built-up, rolled and metal roofs that are still sound, and tear off flat roofs that are past saving.
Every job starts on the roof. We check the existing surface for moisture, look at how water drains and note every penetration. Then you get a written estimate that lists the prep, foam and coating separately, with the product and thickness spelled out.

Each service has its own page with what's involved, what to watch for and common questions.

Foam is a great roof, but it can't take direct sun. The coating protects it. Once that coating wears through, UV starts breaking down the foam surface, so we pay close attention to coating thickness.

Flat roofs still need to drain. Foam can be built thicker in low spots so water runs to the scuppers instead of standing on the roof for days after a storm.

AC stands, pipes and skylights are where many flat roofs leak. Foam is sprayed around each one, so there's no flashing seam to open up.

Monsoon season runs June 15 to September 30, with storms peaking from mid-July to mid-August. Repairs and recoats done in spring keep the roof sealed when the storms arrive.

We work across Scottsdale and the neighboring towns of Paradise Valley and Fountain Hills. Each area page covers the kinds of roofs we see there.
It depends on the roof size, the condition of the roof underneath, the foam thickness and the coating you choose. A tear-off adds labor and disposal. You get a written estimate after we've inspected the roof.
There's no fixed calendar. The coating wears faster on roofs with more sun and foot traffic. Yearly inspections show when the coating is getting thin, and recoating before the foam is exposed costs far less than repairing it.
Often, if the existing roof is dry and well attached. We test for moisture first. Wet layers have to come out, because foam sprayed over trapped water causes problems later.
It's one of the most common flat roof systems in the Valley. Foam adds insulation across the whole deck, and the reflective coating on top protects it from UV and sends back much of the sun.
Yes. We foam, repair and recoat roofs on offices, retail centers, HOA buildings and warehouses as well as homes.

A foam roof with its coating worn down to the foam looks tired and is starting to take damage. Repairs and a fresh coat seal it up again and bring back a clean, reflective surface.
